Since October, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years has come and gone. I was introduced to my daughter on January 27th. Valentine's, St. Patrick's day, and our second anniversary have flown by, and now we are getting our family ready for Easter.
My pregnancy went by so fast and was super easy. Same with the delivery. It wasn't as horrible as I had expected. Not sure if the movies make it more dramatic than it really is or if I was just lucky, but I am super happy that everything went well for me and the baby.
My last belly shot! This is the biggest I got with her.
Adrian and I have been loving every moment of being parents (ok, maybe not every moment, but pretty close!). Little Abbie has grown so much since she was born and is really on the move. She wants to hold her head up and sit up on her own so badly. She follows her toys when I move them and kicks her legs like a crazy soccer player. We spend most of our days taking walks around the neighborhood, taking naps on the couch, and playing on the carpet. I also love getting her dressed in her cute clothes, and who wouldn't with all the adorable outfits she has.

I'm also enjoying cooking once again. Since I have been off of work, I've had the time to dig my cookbooks out and create new dishes for dinner. Most have been a success, yet others have flopped. It's fun making new things and discovering new favorite meals. The only thing that is difficult now is grocery shopping. I didn't realize how much of a pain it can be taking a new born everywhere. Yes she sleeps most of the time, but her car seat is so big and heavy and it takes up most of the room in the shopping cart.
This week was the first time she cried hysterically in the grocery store. I didn't quite know what to do as I only had two more items to get. I didn't really want to run out to the car and feed/ change her and leave my cart full of food behind. Luckily, a lady in front of me at the check stand saw how fussy Abbie was and told me that she would be happy to put my items on the stand while I held and comforted my baby. I was shocked as most people don't talk to strangers anymore, but was very thankful that she reached out to help. She said she was a mother of four and knew how it was. So, the next time I see a mom with a crying baby, I will offer the same helping hand.
